Hello, my name is Rachel and I am a sophomore at the University of Tennessee. I am majoring in Natural Resources and Environmental Economics, but am exploring adding a double minor in sustainability and public policy analytics. I have learned so much thus far in my time here, and I am excited to continue my academic career. I never thought in a million years that my academic journey would lead me to a field of economics, but that’s the wonderful thing about the faculty of UTK, they help you find where you need to go. My academic interests are varied, I love literature and philosophy, but also find science engaging and social science interesting. I am interested in promoting daily sustainable living, and corporate responsibility. In the future I hope to attend law school, and eventually find a career in environmental law.  Outside of the classroom I enjoy hiking, playing music, talking with my friends at coffee shops, and exploring Knoxville. I will be updating this page throughout my time at the university so I can keep track of what I have been up to.
