Beardsley Community Farm

I have volunteered at Beardsley pretty regularly for the past year, mainly attending their fun Saturday workdays. I help weed, harvest, and other activities they need help with around the farm. I absolutely love Beardsley and their mission of sustainable agriculture to remedy food deserts. There is something so rewarding about getting dirty and making a difference!

Arts & Alzheimer’s

This is a club that I am involved with at UTK. Twice a month we get together with alzheimer’s patients andmake crafts with them. It’s a great sense of community and one of my favorite things I’ve done at school.

Center for Urban Agriculture

I volunteer here and help them with weeding, composting, and various activities around their farm. This semester I got to go with students from my environmental ethics course and it was a lot of fun and a lot of hard work!
